Why cork?
The production of cork is environmentally friendly. Only the bark from the cork oak tree is harvested after the first 25 years of growth, then again harvested every 9 years, allowing the tree to live for at least 200 years. This makes the cork oak tree a renewable source of raw material. Cork is sustainable and has a negative carbon footprint.
